Day 2: Exploring the Plateau

7:30 – 9:30 Drive from Muscat to Bahla (~2 hours) with photo-stops on the way for views of Al-Hajar mountains
9:30 – 11:00 Visit Bahla Fort
11:00 –11:30 Drive from Bahla to Al Hamra, views of old town
11:30-12:30 Visit Misfat Al Abreaeyen village, explore this beautiful old village by foot with its alleys and farms
12:30-14:00 Early lunch at Al Hamra at a local restaurant
14:00-17:00 Drive up to Jabal Shams with stunning views of Oman’s Grand Canyon

6:30 – 7:30 Wake up for sunrise and breakfast.
7:30 – 17:30 Summit hike to Jabal Shams:
  Difficulty: Difficulty, 24km, different elevation is 1250m, easy walk no need for climbing
17:30 – 18:00 Drive to shrwq shams resort in Jabal Al- Sarah
18:00 – 19:00 Lunch and night  in Shrwq Shams resort

 

Day 3

10:00-11:30 Drive from Jabal Al- Sarah to Nizwa
11:30- 12:00  Visit Nizwa castle
12:00- 13:00 Lunch in old Nizwa Swq
13:00-15:00 Visit Sebani old village and have a coffee
15:00-16:00 Drive back to Muscat
